Saturday 10 December, 12.30 to 5pm

Windrush Square, Brixton, SW2

Dear all,

I would like to invite you to our low carbon and zero waste christmas event taking place this Saturday 10 Dec at Windrush Square. There will be information stalls bringing together the different projects that we have supported over the last couple of years. There will be drop in workshops to make christmas decorations and a Dr Bike surgery on the day. We are also running pedal powered screening of short videos on zero waste and energy efficiency from 4 to 5pm. Festive food and drink will be available all made locally and with minimum waste. Please find flyer attached.

This is from Kate, a Ruskin Park Community Garden steering committee member, and the creator of our crop rotation and planting plans.
I am an Open University student studying a Masters in Environmental Decision Making and am writing my dissertation on how improvements to regional and local policy can encourage urban agriculture in London. This questionnaire forms part of the primary research for my dissertation and hopes to gain an understanding of what London’s current food growers think an urban agriculture policy should focus on and what could be done to encourage more Londoner’s to grow food at both a household and community level.
Your contribution to this research, in completing the questionnaire, will provide vital insight, which will help in establishing what urban agriculture policy should look like and how it should be best achieved. The final report will be available to participants upon completion in February 2012, please indicate if you would like access to this at the end of the questionnaire.
Please complete the questionnaire as honestly as possible and leave your personal details if you feel comfortable, as it will help with analysis, although anonymous responses are welcomed. Please complete the questionnaire by 21st November 2011.
